Despite living and being raised by her mother for the first years of her life, Madison only vaguely remembers the time she had spent with her. She can remember being angry and confused when Lucas Dorington came in to her life, but she has never felt such unconditional love until then. Victoria became a distant memory. A mother who had chosen sec and drugs over her child wasn't worth the effort to remember.
Once Lucas legally gained custody, Madison was a true Reaper kid, though that wasn't something she could understand yet. She had been raised around the club with her mother, but this was entirely different than being raised by a sweet butt. She was pretty much just been an accessory that was cast aside when Victoria was entertaining Reapers.
Settling in Everman, Madison was adjusting to a semi normal life. As normal as a life could get for a Reaper kid. The confusion she had felt towards Lucas was gone. She loved him, followed him around and protected him, as best as a tiny little girl was able. She often thought fits in front of women in order to scare them off. It almost always worked, until a greedy sweet butt got pregnant.
Madi didn't like Serena. The woman made Madi feel like a chore. While she grew madly protective over her new baby sister, she just wanted Serena gone and didn't shed a tear when her father divorced her. She had been afraid Jordyn would be gone, but that wasn't was the case. Just like with Madi, Lucas got custody of Jordyn and at a young age, Madi stepped up and did everything she could to help her father.
School was easy for her. Despite a busy home life, Madi did well and participated in many after school programs. Swimming, dance, softball and even cheering when she got older. The only thing she didn't like was being picked on for being so short. She wasn't sure why she never made it passed five feet, but at four eleven, Madi was still someone to be feared.
The summer before starting high school, Madison got in to a fight. A few girls were making fun of her and Jordyn for their lack of a mother and Madi wasn't going to stand for it. Having never fought in her life, she almost lost, but it ended with her the victor and the girls left them alone. The fight did get back to Lucas and as a punishment, she had to help out at his gym, Rusted Gloves.
High school opened many doors for her, but Madi was more interested in learning how to box. The days and nights spent at the gym led to her eventually wanting to learn instead of box. With her small frame, it came natural to her. She could dug quickly and without much effort, move under outstretched arms, roll out of the way. She continued cheering, but the rest of the after school programs were dropped in favor of boxing.
When she wasn't at school, cheering or challenging prospects to box, Madi worked the front desk of the gym. It was an easy job and she spent more time laughing and joking with the Reapers more than anything else. Once it came time to send out applications to colleges, Madi wasn't sure what she wanted to do. Not going didn't seem like much of an option, but going far wasn't either. She applied to Texas only schools and decided on Midland College, just a few hours away from Everman.
Right after turning eighteen, Madi was heading off to college. She was nervous and excited. Lucas kept telling her that it wasn't that far away and she could come home any time she wanted to. She took that to heart and three weeks after starting, she had gone home, preparing to drop out. She couldn't handle it. Even with Reapers in Midland, they weren't her Reapers. It took the whole weekend to convince her to go back to college and when she did, she knew she would have regretted never going back.
She rushed a sorority, Tri Delta, with her friend and while they only did it for laughs, they both got in. Madi half expected it to be horrible, but it wasn't. It wasn't like the movies. She found the same kind of bond her father had always tried to explain to her. Not everyone got along, of course, but they all had each other's backs. Her freshman year was spent in the dorms and then the next, she was moving in to the Tri Delta house.
Christmas of 2015, Madi was expelled. Her sorority had been busted for a party that caused the death of a student due to alcohol poisoning. Even though she wasn't even there, she wasn't able to escape the wrath of the dean. She tucked tail and headed back to Everman, finishing her class online and moving in with her on/off boyfriend, Clay. When the time came for the Everman Reapers to go to Midland, MAdi was right there with her father and boyfriend.
